Brian,
You're predictions on Dundrum are somewhat premature since we haven't even played a game yet! It's true that we will have a lot of games to play when (if) the dry spell comes but we are 'chomping at the bit' to get started and with the players we have at our disposal this year, we are hoping for another successful season. Tommy Stewart is spot on. We have the ability and are hoping to surprise one or two more this year than we did last year, and we surprised a few last year...
prospects were lookin very good earlier in the week gareth!! now im not so sure, i cant see any play possible as the ground was pretty soft last time i was there...........our pro from the last couple of years has not returned but we have the services on Bronwell Williams who im sure the Cliftonville boys know very well. he's an excellent coach as we have found out so far. im hiopin everyones predictions about us returning straight away are right! im pretty confident myself as we have an exceptionally youthful look to our squad in addition to old heads (sorry raymie) i could nearly call myself an old head now i seem to have been playin ages! haha
Reckon that all of the leagues will be pretty tight this year and people generally won't go for making rash predictions in fear of them coming back to haunt them.
Tommy, whats the prospects for play at Saintfield tomorrow?
Re Section 1/2
I reckon that Cooke and Dunmurry must be favorites to be relegated again this year, however I'm sure It'll be pretty close- Hollywood and Dundrum could also find themselves in trouble, Dundrum especially so if the bad weather keeps up as they may struggle to get games played at home. Can't see Clifftonville getting relegated, think they will be safe high midtable side!
In regards to promotion from Section 2, I would guess that Saintfield are almost certain to return (do they have their Indian Pro back this year?), while I would plump for Templepatrick to pinch the second spot- I'm sure Armagh, Larne and possibly Academy (I hear they have lost Menaul though) will be in the mix come September.
does dickie even get the drinks in taito?? from my experience of playin last year i reckon section 1 is gonna be very tight this year as all the clubs in with a shout had very similar records, derriaghy will be up there as well. the two teams promoted are gonna find it tough. i still think dundrum will surprise a few again!! i think you might well see the two promoted teams going back down again.
i believe ur ryt taito it will be very close! and no i dnt think use will be promoted with 1 win lol! hows the finger

The rain must be rusting a few peoples brains, Cliftonville will be nearer the top three than the bottom three.

i am not going to be brave enough to make any predictions this year, dont want them coming back to haunt me.
it will be a tight league this year for sure though, if we ever get to play that is. Whats te chances of ourselves and muckamore getting promoted after playing one and winning one, with the rest of the games being no results??
I would say siantfield and dickies men would be favourites for promotion back to section 1 (double vod and red bull dickie)
saintfield
Ryan - would an indoor league be a possibility in NI? Could EI Sports in Bangor be an option for this aswell?
As for 400 seats - I am not sure that will be enough to fit in the normal crowd at Stormont each week!!

closer to home for myself........who do u think will replace them in section 1 come the end of the season??
who do you think will be relegated from ncu division 1?
i think dunmurray, cooke or cliftonville
Neil..
I can confirm that the NICA has indeed coached in the Meadowbank Centre and a fantastic venue it is...
Dont want to go into too much detail here but I would envisage an full scale interpro mid winter at underage level being played there in a years time !
ps. They have a viewing gallery of 400 seats!

as i have already stated the finals have been held over with the agreement of the
sponsor, if that was there wish why would you disappoint them further. you
have stated you think this was the wrong decision and you are entitled to
your opinion and express it but the decision was made right or wrong last year the time for an appeal is past
would respectfully suggest teams concentrate on this years matches as i dont see the point in dragging this out
further
p.s need as many keen people as we can get, keep it up !!

See attached for a potential indoor cricket arena in Northern Ireland. I think from memory there has been some cricket practised here by one of the youth teams. Ryan Eagleson may be able to through some light on this.
