come on jareth give me a bit of credit i have never supported chelsea.

Some interesting results at the weekend with muckamore losing twice. Great win for dundrum and i can see them being a difficult team to beat this year if they can put their best 11 out more often than not.

I had muckamore pegged as oe of the teams that would be pushing for promotion but maybe this is just an early season blip and they will come back strong.

Yet again this shows that section 1 is gouing to be a very tight league and with lurgan sscoring an impressve total in the cup yesterday they are off to a good start.

Dundrum's stuffing of us at Moylena on Saturday just shows how open a league Section One is going to be this year. After being dismissed for 78 we had them 19 for 6 but Lee Connor and Noel Maguire proved the fight that's in this Dundrum side. I think 13 wins could get a team promoted this season and on Saturday's performance either team could reach that target. Jeff was notable by his absence. Must have been worried about having to by his mate Andy Clement a drink.

What a sensational win for Armagh today in the Senior Cup against Muckamore!

Armagh won by one wicket in the last over but the credit has to go to the Muckamore club for having a game played at all and it was a very exciting game played in the right spirit by two committed teams.

Re Jeff

Please don't find the need to go defensive Jeff! In no way am I having a pop at you club which has done brilliantly over the last few years- but when you are talking about predictions you'll always disappoint some people I suppose S
and as I said before I don't think you guys will get relegated but I do think you will be in the bottom four! Congratulations on a cracking win yesterday by the way- the drainage up in Moylena must have been pretty great to allow any cricket!

Re: Challenge Cup

I notice that Junior cup fixtures carried over from
Last weekend have been decided by bowl outs . Is this the same for the challenge cup fixtures to be played yesterday or do they have to try again next weekend and push the 2nd round fixtures back?

the rain also has another plus point, i can get to see united lift the trophy today.

Although its getting depressing watching the rain every saturday, the wifes can kiss goodbye to seeing any of us on sundays for the next month or so

Wouldn't exactly be a prediction if we had played all the games lol! As I said I wouldn't make you guys favorites for relegation and if you can play your 9 games at home I would think you'll be safe, however if you have to start playing home games away (or worse have to scrub some games) then I think you my struggle. All guesswork at the minute though, I wish this damm rain would stop.

Can't see Larne being in the mix for promotion this year in Section 2, although I do agree that the pros could be a defining factor in the final standings!I'm sure we'll have plenty of surprises along the way though- looks like a tight league!

i think people will write off dundrum and cliftonville at their peril, we have learnt from last year that on their day dundrum can be very hard to beat.

Also cliftonville are very much an unknown quantity as a result of all the departures but i would imagine they will be a decent side.

I just cant say any one team being head and shoulders above the others in the league this year. Lets hope no results arent a huge factor at both ends of the table

cant see play anywere in the country this weekend if bbc weather proves to be right!

section 1 wil be too tight to call but on the spot i would go for muckamore and derriachy.

section 2 i am going to go with saintfield and armagh as i think the pros will make the difference that will just edge larne out of the picture.

good season in prospect though if e ever get started!
