Yes Taito Anne made a right charlie outta me in a fourths game at Ballyclare High School, there was a box lying on the ground and i asked who owned it and she said it was hers and i like a div gave it to her, the boys near died laughing, but hey i was a naive wee buck then
yeah there is no rule not allowing women playing in the NCU, anne lenihan played for our club on quite a few occassions on every team ranging from the 4ths to the 1sts in an irish senior cup game in dublin.
Once played in a Cliftonville side with four females in it, also played against young ladies in Downpatrick, Muckamore and Ballymena. Girl Power!!

As far as I am aware there is no rule against it.
Had my first cricket net in 3 years on Sunday, went well, only thing is , i didn't realise i had so many muscles , pity it takes them to be so sore to realise they are there.16 people turned up to nets, which wasn't bad considering the cup final was on, J.T.s gone to Comber, Keeso to Stormont and the Stirlings have sought refuge at Carrickfergus, Has the Turk swapped one second team for another? Couple of new faces for this season too, one a returning former player and the second a Scottish International leg spinner who is living in the province.
Anyone fancying a bash at senior cricket can come along to our net practice any Sunday between now and the seasons start at Ballyclare leisure Centre from 2:15 - 4:30. The more the merrier.
I would like to express my deepest and most sincere sympathy to the family of the late Roy Parkhill. I was privileged to score with Roy on many occasions and I will remember a man who was a true gentleman and a great ambassador for both Carrickfergus and representative cricket. Scoring can be extremely dull to some but when you spent a day with Roy it proved to be full of humour and interesting conversation. Cricket has lost a friend and as as scorer I have lost a colleague who will be sadly missed.
