Downpatrick Cricket Club Sportspersons dinner:
Downpatrick Cricket Club are running a sportspersons dinner on saturday 30th May at the cricket club.
The night will entail dinner, after dinner speakers, sports memoribilia auction and a silent raffle.
It should be a really good night and it would be great to see a few faces from other cricket clubs in attendance.

I am sure I speak for many people when I say it was very sad to learn of the passing of Pamela Monteith. I hadn't seen Pamela for some time but she was a rock behind Dermott in all his cricket exploits and thereafter. We enjoyed many sporting and social occasions together, and they were both good friends and great company. Pamela was a gem.
Sincere condolences to Dermott and his family from Barbados.

Underdogs (RBAI) were not good enough to cause an upset even though they gave a good account of themselves and pressed MCB hard. Thankfully my bet worked out, and whilst not in your league I have a few extra quid in my pocket!!

Best wishes to Templepatrick Cricket Club for securing funding for their practise facilites in Ballyclare. I know how much hard work is involved in securing funding and wih them all the best with their venture. Hopefully we in Dundrum can get our funding secure shortly. not long to go now until the season starts, any other transfers or new pro's. It will be interesting to see how strong both the two teams coming down and the two teams going up to section 1 are. I would say derriaghy will be there or there abouts, cliftonville have lost a few but there are still some quality players there. I cant see anyone running away with it this year like ballymena did last year but then again my predictions are never too hot

Semms funny that the week you claim to have won £2500.00 at Cheltenham - Brennans shop gets ram-raided. Reminds me of the book that OJ Simpson wrote, 'If I did it'. Maybe you could explain to us how you would have ram-raided Brennans, if you had done it. LOL Apparantly they got away with nothing as there is never any money in it any time any one goes - Hang on!
