the cricket europe ireland website has premier league section2,3 and 4 results updated regulary.
Another fine performance from William Porterfield at the weekend and also useful runs for Gary Wilson. Even Big Boyd got a wicket before the rains came on. Isn't it great to see our best players performing so well on the professional circuit?
Come on NCU let's have your website updated more regularly! It can't take that much time to put in the weekend results or even better Saturday night/Sunday morning updates. If it's a resource issue pay a student to do it. Get with the times, the clubs have the results up long before the union.
I couldn't access the Cricket Europe network this morning at home or this afternoon in work, there must be a problem somewhere.
anyone any idea whats wrong with the cricket europe website or is it just me that can't access it???
Jeff, yes yesterday was one of the best games I hae played in for a long time. To get 20 of the last 3 overs withe the last wicket pair at the crease was some effort. i thought andy kenny's knock was one of the best I have seen in that league for sure.
Not sure about it being a 2 horse race just yet , im sure there will be a few twists and turns before the end of the season.

I most certainly was not sticking the boot into Cliftonville. When the difficulties came to light about their ground around 18 months ago I was one of the ones within the NCU urging that the club be given every support. Indeed all of the cricket community rallied to support them despite being unable to provide a Section 1 ground in 2008.
Big Davy can list all the players he like who have left the club. I am well aware of them. But no matter what he says it is embarrassing for a club who were 3 times champions just over a decade ago.
My posting was one of sadness but what has happened, has happened. I hope the guys roll up their sleeves and come back stronger. Hopefully we will see them show a bit of character from here on in.
tayto , well dun have to say i was supporting derriaghy but fair play yur team winning on the last ball in a thriller + suppose i will have to settle for having 2£ @ 260 on betfair STEWART CINK to lift my spirits. 2horse race u & lurgan now but as i see it you still owe me 40£ so to put it 2 rest( or my only chance ) bet again ill give you 2 chances ?? double or QUITS us too beat you at strangford road or ill take lurgan to win the league ??
tayto , i wouldnt bet( with you) that we can beat the strongest team in this section as gavin & rodney missing but we will give them a game hopefully . tips. all eway shamander 325 , mutajared 325 , king charles 430 . good luck .PS TAYTO will pop down to see yous sun so ill take a cheque .
what a lot of hand wringing over the Cliftonville result! They were hammered that's all - nobody died! It happens down the clubs all the time - get over it!
Cliftonville all out for 10 !
Happens to the best of us every now and again, thats what makes cricket such a great team sport. And have to agree with Clarence, the game needs more clubmen and ambassitors for cricket like big Davey H.
(By the way, ... I'm BACK..)
Another interesting weekend ahead in Section 1.
Can Dundrum continue their impressive form with a win over Lurgan who have been winning comfortbaly recently.
Two big games for us against Hollywood and Derriaghy. the Derriaghy game pretty much being an 8 pointer. Either we could stretch away or if Derriaghy win it could mean that 3 or 4 teams then become in contention for promotion.
Laurelvale could keep the pressure on those at the top if they could get another win against Muckamore. Muckamore will probably feel if they lose this one they would be out of the running for promotion.

Mark,
Please show some respect for Cliftonville CC. They were gracious in defeat and are as professional and as friendly bunch of guys as you could meet. I played against them yesterday and regret that I couldn't join them in Dundrum Inn after game...
whenever i seen the score in the match against dundrum and cliftonville i thought it was cliftonville football club they were playing was the scanell brothers playing.
