Well done to Instonians and Waringstown on sharing the Premier League title against the odds and big spending opponents. Lurgan on lifting Section 1 and of course my own club Armagh who lifted their first senior trophy in 27 years in our special anniversary season.
Roll on 2010... gives a good summer!
Ref the Questionaire,
As a player in the NCU, I think the ideas in it are forward thinking. To be honest I don't see any other form of cricket here beyond the 20-20 format in the future. So why not start implementing the changes that will be needed to enhance the game and bring it to the youth of today in a more interesting light. Exciting times are ahead, and it's now time to make the changes otherwise we will be left behind.
Vic & LPR

Development Questionnaire
Great to see the proactive approach to moving our cricket forward.
Questions 9 and 10 are hugely important and could play a critical role in moving things forward !
Well done Andy and Co.
Graeme,
You forgot to mention the view from the beer garden in The Dundrum Inn lol...
Graeme,
At least one team played cricket yesterday in Dundrum! It seemed that we in Dundrum just didn't turn up.. We hope to see you guys in Cooke/Collegians back up in Section 1 next year. Thanks for your kind words.
Jason,
The boys were saying, those Millpark lads were giving you some sledging when you opened but some of them haven't been around long enough to know the history and the craic.
Spent the best part of the afternoon playing at Dundrum today. Not a cloud in the sky, fisherman on the riverbank and an uninterupted view of the mournes. I challenge anyone to name a finer place to play cricket.
vic
stevies lads bowled us out for 34 was glad to get 10 players together late on sat mornin so well done to dundrum i never turned up about a 10 ball duck lol
New to these forums. Apologise for the double post!
I would like to echo the comment of my good frind Vic Johns...
A big thankyou to our esteemed captain, a real pleasure to play for and with, who has once again made for an extremely enjoyable season.
As for the match, it was yet another close encounter, with the Victoria men once again coming out on just the wrong side of the scoreline. A hugely enjoyable game to finish the season.
The only sour not was that we now have to endure a winter without a regular dose of cricket. Roll on 2010!

A season finished off with yet another close and entertaining game that the Victoria men once again came out just the wrong side of the scoreline.
Brilliant game to finish the season, the only sour note is that we now have to survive the winter without a regular dose of cricket. Roll on 2010.
I would like to congratulate Instonians on a marvellous season. To do the double is a phenomenal feat and all the years of hard work by Eugene, Stevie etc have paid off. Well done.
what a cracking game at Carrick yesterday. A match filled with incident - Lisburn batting 1st - 217/6 including a century from Mr. Ritchie -and Carrick needing 6 off the last ball to tie. "Cometh the hour, etc." with Mr. Campbell obliging! 434 runs in a 70 over match - brilliant entertainment!!
