what a disturbing visual Greg - i can hear the whistling in the now rejigged line of "who do you think you are kidding mr Vic Johns" - all join in.......
Park Ranger - seem to recall hearing a rumour that Vic may have left the puddles of lurgan park last year for the carpets of newforge and changed his name to pc plum. surely an ireland call up would be in the realms of "no greater love hath a man for"............
Hello Vic , well done to johnny for calling your bluff ha ha he he !! LPR & I know the truth , the only way you will get to play at an international will be at the tea interval or do streak and jump over the stumps you stupid boy !!!! post sponsered by Jones Butchers,Warmington-on-sea
Park-ranger,
You would'nt deny me a crack on the International stage now would you?
Gerald once told me he bowled an Irish International batsman when Victoria played a game against North from Belfast,he said he was 48yrs old at the time so that still gives me a few years yet to make 'the big time'!!
Well Johnny, you said it not me !
Andy K. Good to hear the rugby went well, but on the cricket front I read on the tele-text that Kevin Pieterson is'nt happy with this new technology now used in the modern game.
Apparently he's more susceptable to LBW decisions as the umpire will give it because of 'Hawk-eye' and the 'third umpire'!
Have you a worry of this new technology creeping in over here and would it affect any decisions you may give during a match ? Any thoughts ??
russeller. a few questions re teams on paper.
1. What happens when water mixes with paper?
2. What happens a lot in nI summers?
3. What do you reckon hughesy is praying for this summer?
Re: Johnny
Unfortunately Vic can't play for Ireland or county cricket, as his undying loyalty for Victoria CC could never allow him to leave the club and ply his trade for anyone else!! Isn't that right Vic?
Vic - if you could bowl at 70mph and hit the stumps 5 times an over you'd be playing for Ireland or in County cricket!
thanks for the congratulations but apart from being there I didn't really contribute anything. What a great game and both sides were in with a shout right to the end. Would contend that there was more open & exciting rugby on display yesterday than in the whole of the 6-Nations France excepted). Interested to see the question of finance being related to success arising again this season - seems like only yesterady that Derriaghy were being lambasted!
Greg, when I get up to Junction One I'll be one of two people from Victoria C.C.
If I hit the stumps five or even six times an over like I usually do and bowl at over 70mph then I'll be Vic Jons, none other!!
But if I'm feeling a bit 'off' and bouce the ball a couple of times down the track and only reach around 8mph,then I'll call myself Greg!!!!
Just a brief word of congratulations to Andy Kennedy, and everybody connected to Ballymena Academy on their Schools Cup success yesterday.
copper bleu 12/1 winner nice start
Hello Vic , Hope you get selected for that Armagh two nighter, your bowling would need to improve if you are to impress the new Captain or you will be doing the book that night with Gerald !!
you should concentrate on line & length and not speed at the moment !!!!! and don't embarrass yourself up at junction one and don't use any other names ???

I'll finish off for the day with a funny but true story!
I recently learned that Greg from Victoria C.C. has become an official member of the Dads Army fan club! (I'm not kidding)!!
Is there not enough 'Captain Mannerings' at our club Greg?
I know, it must be the shouts up on the terraces at Mourneview Pk. of "Don't panic, don't panic" or should that be, "We're doomed,we're all doomed do ya not hear me"!!
Not to worry Gareth, try hard this season son and maybe next year they'll pick you!
Now time I opened a bottle, Good-nite!
