just back from some warm weather training in Lanzarote getting the trigger finger warmed up. Flossie has been watching the IPL and asks if NCU is going in the same direction as she is keen to be one of the dancers! tried to tell her that Ulster has suffered enough!
In the tradition of daft questions on this forum
Who hits the Biggest/Hardest ball in the league(s)...?
Dosen't have to be the best bat...just biggest hitter
Hello Vic , as a famous tennis player use to say "you can not be serious" looking free tickets & free wine no chance ,next thing you will be looking to borrow your Dad's guitar and sing to the VIP's as well ,you will just have to buy a ticket like the rest of us !!! this post was sponsored by Rod's Gardening Supplies,Lurgan
I hear Derek Heasley is going to Glendermott. Anybody else hear this?
Very good news, the Irish Cricket team gaining a further 100,000 euros sponsor-ship from RSA to add to last years profit made by Cricket Ireland of 247,000 euros.
Somebody is doing something rite and this is to be applauded, but I have to say:
I like many other cricket supporters played my part to help bring this good fortune all on and I hope that us 'lesser' punters gain some reconition for our continued support!
I was at the one-day International last August on a damp & blustery day at Stormount, paid my £30 at the gate and watched Ireland come within one final ball of beating England, only to be denied by an Irish 'Englishman' catching the ball before it went over for a six.
Maybe an invitation to the VIP suite for the upcoming Ireland-v-Australia game could be considered, as when I tried to get into the VIP tent at the Stormount game to hear Sir Ian Botham and taste some complimentary wine, I was politely turned away!
But I still enjoyed the my day out anyway in the rain, with a hot-dog,tin of coke and plenty of 'roar'en & shout'en'.
(No smart comments please,as this is a serious post)!
Paul..
Great site! Hope developments are going really well with the ground!
A quick to note to let everyone know that Woodvale CC has today launched a new website. www.woodvalecricketclub.com
The website has all the usual information tabs but also contains detailed stats functionality that will allow us to complete scorecards and reports, auto mailing to newspapers, NCU, etc as well as automatically creating averages.
In this first edition we have an article on the current groundwork being undertaken.
I would like to express our gratitude to Rodney Hassard for developing the site. If anyone needs advice on setting up websites Woodvale CC would strongly recommend getting in touch with Rodney.
Guys
Just so you all know, Muckamore Cricket Club have now launched their new website.

Simmons hasnt ruled out a return to World Cup duty for a certain Mr McCallen either... that would be excellent!
