From a neutral perspective of the game at Belmont on saturday I thought it was a great advert for having top class professionals playing in the NCU and indeed the Challenge Cup.
Although McMillan was superb, I also thought the Waringstown Pro bowled superbly and with great pace. A great advert for the NCU Cricket.
at the time of my posting I wasn't aware who the adjudicator was but I do know now. Perhaps a "neutral" assessor would be more appropriate - especially in the semi-final.
Re Andy Kennedy :
No real surprise Craig McMillan didn't receive the MOM on Saturday, as the adjudicator stands up nearly every year at the AGM asking for no "pro's" in any league!! "Barry" McCord did play very well with both bat and ball, and ripped through Waringstown's top three in a lively opening spell.

Wish DG all the best from me, and big Kevin McVeigh as well as I hear he got hurt last week as well. Hope they are both on the mend.
Big well done also to CI on getting to the Senior Cup Final. There was a great atmosphere up at Belmont on Saturday and here's to a great final at The Green. Your round Sam!
Re: David Irvine
Very shocked to hear about David's injury. I hope that he makes as good and as speedy a recovery as possible. One of the real good guys in the game and a loyal servant to Dunmurry over the years.
RE Andy Kennedy
As the MOM award was handed out by a Waringstown stalwart, and as Sam has correctly stated that they didnt clap McMillans 100 then its no surprise that McMillan didnt get the award - a big case of sour grapes.....
Congratulations to both North Down and CIYMS on reaching the Challenge Cup Semi Final. I hear that the majority of the Waringstown supporters chose not to applaud Craig McMillan when he scored his 100. Surely poor sportsmanship on their behalf.
re:- shah/DG
first i've heard of this news. what happened? pass on my regards please and i hope he makes a speedy recovery
don't worry Vic - I've given up on this 'cos they just don't get it. Murray is a "loser" and is therefore a Scot. His national status will only change if and when he ever wins Wimbledon. Also have to admit a bit of surprise in the choice of MOM in the CI - Waringstown game - McMillan gets 104 and 10 tight overs and McCord wins! mmmmm?
I was at Belmont on Saturday to witness a batting masterclass from their 'pro' Craig McMillan which took the game away from us. It is great for the NCU and for spectators to have such a class act here for the summer.
I would like to wish both North Down and CIYMS good luck for what should be a superb final.
Ronah Shah , may i wish one the finest stalwarts off Dunmurry or any club a very speedy recovery from this bad injury an pray he back playing home an away as DJ is an always will be one the nicest blokes you ever meet ON OR OFF THE FIELD . from myself and all his friends at DUNDRUM CC
vic so picky. so where's wimbleton then? george best alex higgins yes we know they had one thing in common!
Harpur ?
Whose vci ? And I never said he was English !
So read correctly if you can ! And my comments are genuine and valid so GET REAL yourself or better still.. Say noth'en !!!!!
vci andrew murray isnt english and the press never said he was. get real with real comments!
Andy lets face it, Pieterson isn't the only 'whoose' about, most of these so-called sports 'superstars' are really 'big girls blouze's' more interested in having their photo taken and their celebrity life-styles!
For example, what about Englands great hope for Wimbleton..... Andrew Murray, when he came up against that tough Spanish opponent Nadel, well I could have told you the script before the match!!
Then we have the England football team, I think enough has been said already, suffice to mention Lampard seems more interested in a 'wee lassey' from Norn-Iron' than he has at kicking a ball... and as for Rooney the next 'Pele', I'll say no-more !!!
No... give me any of those afore-mentioned 'sportsmen' and let them spend a weeks digging with me in my new vegtable garden and just listen to the moans of the blisters on their wee soft hands......
George Best
Joey Dunlop
Alex Higgins and Gerald Johnston, do I really need to say anymore !!!!
