TEAM WITHDRAWALS

18 April 2007

There have been two withdrawals in the last few days…

In the North-West, the Unionhas reluctantly accepted the withdrawal of Ballyspallen from Division One of the Henderson Developments League for the incoming season, which commences on 28 April.  The withdrawal also applies to all senior cup competitions, including the Irish Senior Cup.  In a letter to the Union, the County Londonderryclub cited the loss of a large number of players as the main reason behind the decision to step down from the premier division.

In the NCU, Indian Gymkhana find that they can not field a team in Section IV or in the Junior Cup in 2007, and has withdrawn from competitions whilst remaining affiliated to the Union. Cliftonville II were scheduled to play Indian Gymkhana in the 1st Round of the Junior Cup on 5 May and will now progress to a home fixture v Waringstown II on 26 May.
