SCHOOLS CUP REACHES SEMI-FINAL STAGE

Foyle & Londonderry College and Grosvenor Grammar School, Belfast, have reached the semi finals of the Ulster Bank Schools Cup

They will be joined by either RBAI or Campbell College, Belfast, and Limavady Grammar School or Lurgan College whose quarter finals has yet to be played.

The two semi finalists had relatively comfortable passages to the last four. Foyle beat Belfast Royal Academy by 56 runs and Grosvenor defeated Wallace High School by four wickets.

Foyle & Londonderry College 164/9 (32 overs: D McCarter 32, M Fleming 26, A Kitson 25, J Carlisle 4/46, V Sridhhar 3/25, S Bunting 2/52). BRA 108/8 (S Bunting 41, D Cartmill 24, N Donnell 3/16, G McCarter 3/19). Foyle & Londonderry College won by 56 runs; Wallace HS 89 (W Hughes 28 not out, C Osborne 4/11, M Martin 3/24). Grosvenor GS 90/6 (C Cahoon 23 not out, L Jenkinson 22). Grosvenor GS won by 4 wkts.
