England’s last One-Day International against Ireland was held in Belfast last year and ended in a narrow three-run triumph for the visitors. The two teams are also due to meet again in the ICC Cricket World Cup in Bangalore on March 2nd next year.
Next year’s fixture in Dublin will be held at Clontarf CC - venue for a One-Day International between Ireland and Australia earlier this year which the home side lost by 39 runs.
ECB CEO David Collier said: “We are pleased to have agreed this fixture with Cricket Ireland. Irish cricket continues to make excellent progress and I am sure that Ireland will provide tough opposition for our One-Day squad ahead of The NatWest Series against India later in the summer. “
