IRELAND U19 SQUAD ANNOUNCED

The Irish selectors have named a squad of 12 to face the MCC at Lisburn on Friday 15th June starting at 11.30 am.

The side will be captained by Greg Thompson, who along with Chris Dougherty trained with the Ireland squad at Stormont on Tuesday.

One interesting addition is wicket-keeper batsman Stuart Poynter of Middlesex - his elder brother Andrew played for Ireland in the 2006 U19 World Cup held in Sri Lanka last year.

A number of players were unavailable due to examination commitments. The squad is managed by Brian Walsh, and coached by Phil,Simmons and Brian O' Rourke.
