Ireland have previously defeated them three times - in 1928, 1969 (when they were famously dismissed for just 25!), and more recently in 2004.
The sides will clash at The Oval on Tuesday June 2nd at 1:30pm, and it will give Ireland coach Phil Simmons an opportuntity to pit his wits against the side for whom he played in 26 Tests and 143 One Day Internationals.
Ireland's other warm up game sees them face fellow Associate side, The Netherlands. That game will take place at Lord's on Monday June 1 at 1:30pm.
Ireland fans will also get an opportunity to see more of the world's greatest stars in action, as both games will be followed by high profile fixtures.
On the Monday, India take on New Zealand starting at 5:30pm, while the following day New Zealand also feature, against their big rivals, Australia.
In the competition proper, Ireland face Bangladesh on Monday June 8 at Trent Bridge, and on June 10 face the defending champions India.
