AN POST INVITES PUBLIC TO SEND MESSAGES TO IRISH CRICKET TEAM

An Post is inviting the public to send their messages of congratulations to the Irish cricket team in Jamaica...

...after their phenomenal start to the tournament, drawing with Zimbabwe last Thursday and beating Pakistan on St. Patrick's Day.  Their final group match is against the West Indies on Friday.

Anyone can send their message to the team free of charge, and providing they are in the post by Thursday evening, An Post will ensure the team receive them by the weekend.  Should Ireland qualify for the second stage, An Post will forward messages on an ongoing basis to the team's hotel.

Glenageary postman Kenny Carroll is a member of the Irish World Cup squad.
