ALL INST FINAL POSSIBLE

It looks increasingly likely that two teams from the same school will reach
the semi-finals of the Ulster Bank Schools Cricket Cup.

RBAI Seconds have already reached the last four following a 47-run win over Ballyclare High School and the "Inst" 1st XI will be strong favourites to join them when they meet Royal School Armagh on Monday.

In the other two quarters finals Foyle and Londonderry College defeated Bangor Grammar School by 60 runs and Belfast High School beat Strabane Grammar School by six wickets. Both games produced centuries - an undefeated 107 by Belfast High's Paul Stirling and 101 by Foyle skipper Steve Clark.

If both "Inst" sides reach the semi finals they will not meet each other for a place in the final.  They have been drawn apart - the 1st XI (or Armagh) will be away to Foyle and the 2nd XI will be at home to Belfast High School.

Quarter final details:
 
Foyle & Londonderry College beat Bangor GS by 60 runs. Foyle 190 for 8 (S Clarke 101, D McCarter 46, A Nixon3/43, R Law 2/37).  Bangor GS 130 all out (M Nixon 61, G McCarter 5/23, S Clarke 2/26). 

RBAI II beat Ballyclasre HS by 47 runs. RBAI II 150 for 9 (R Sheard 21, R Smith 5/23).  Ballyclare HS 103 all out (J Jackson 22, D McCandless 3/15). 

Belfast HS beat Strabane GS by 6 wkts. Strabane 158 for 7  (D Curry 42, I Buchannan 27, R Spence 3/26, P Stirling 2/34).  Belfast HS 159 for 4 (P Stirling 107*, A Lynch 2/24).
