Ryan, thanks for clearing that up but i still think there is some confusion. we were sent a link a few weeks back that has the option to fill in scorecard and or result summary. Does ths not go to the NCU site? I have sent this for our home games and the table has been updated.

Is this not what we should be doing? i.e do we fill that in or sent an e-mail to you?

thanks

Re: Results
I have been asking via the official NCU site for any results to be emailed to me at ncu.pro@btinternet.com
Currently we have some problems with offering the service for clubs to add results to the NCU site. However I can do this in the short/medium term.
The NCU site can show results for ALL matches - senior, junior & schoolboys.

Other than Cliftonville, Derriaghy & Lurgan - other clubs have not offered results. Clubs must take responsibility to produce the results to be published on the NCU website.

So for those guys who think that results appear by magic - please think again and help us provide the service. If you want to see the results - provide them.

Thanks to those people who are helping, productively.

Agree with Uncle Buck-naaaa. Andy has it spot on. When we played with the big boys last year my mobile suffered burn out fending off calls before , during and after games from "The Bushe Telegraph", "Callender girls" , "Sunday Lifeless" and our "Dear Old Auntie".
Relegation and my new ringtone is Cliff and "We don't talk anymore"!!!
Maybe it's commercially viable to write about the latest commonwealth invaders to our shore, maybe they sell more copy on the streets of Auckland and Jo'Burg.
Maybe it was an oversight , and us born and bred and butter cricketers will get a wee mention next week.
p.s. if anyone's interested Cliftonville went to North Fermanagh and won by 5 wickets in the Ulster Shield , surprised it wasn't in the newsletter as our Kiwi scored 73!!

re my earlier posting about the publication of results - nothing apart from the top Sections in the Newsletter today. The sponsors of, e.g. the Junior Cup must be delighted - or does anybody on the NCU Board of Directors really care?
P.S. just got back to moylena yesterday to see the sort of after-match party that you used to enjoy Hiler. The BGs visitors in the Ulster Shield - oops there I go again - no results of that published either - but I wonder if they have all got back to the North-West yet? Certainly nobody appeared to be thirsty and they were all keeping up the hydration levels!

Is it really Saturday? Been up since 430am and the sun is shining! Cliftonville travel to the mighty Laurelvale. Lets see if this relegation favourites tag still holds after today.

I would like to thank Clarence for his tribute to Dickie Maxwell on this site. Peter read it out today at his funeral as it captures Dickie so well. It was great to see so many people out to pay tribute to him today.
People often talk about 'great' players lightly. Dickie was a good enough player to lift an Irish Senior cup or two and lasted several decades in top flight cricket. But he was a 'great' man who embodied what it is to play hard but with a smile.
His love of cricket and infectious personality was the reason that not just his own family became involved with Lurgan CC but from the same street where the Maxwells lived came the McCollums, the Russells, the Jenks, the Woods and Lyness families whose sons all played for Lurgan first XI. They in turn brought their school friends and a whole generation of cricketers came because of one man's enthusiasm and love of life.
Dickie will be sorely missed but not forgotten. Rest in peace big man.

On behalf of my colleagues within NIACUS, I want to say how sorry I was to hear of the passing of Dickie Maxwell after a long illness.

Peter - we are all so very sorry for your loss. Our thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time.

Deeply saddened by the passing of Richard Maxwell - a true inspirational leader & valued team mate. The exceptional camaraderie at the Lurgan Cricket Club was orchestrated & conducted by Dickie who as a mentor made a huge positive effect on our careers. Gone but the wonderful memories live on. Sincere condolences to Edna, Peter & Helen

clarence you will be glad too hear that summer started today & yes after missing so much cricket im sure after 2 longs days in the sun chasing the leather their will be a few aching bodies on monday (thank god im retired), man utd were beat by a better team on the night but even so the last hour their was no passion or premiership style of blood & thunder & before folk say they were outplayed , still wasnt the way that i expected them give in , barca no doubt very good at keeping the ball think if keane was in that team he be wondering why theres wasnt more roll up the sleeves & give it a real fighting effort, but no doubt they very good side but imo i dont think they played that well ( maybe same as they stopped utd doing what there good at) yours jeff@confused.com . ps tommy good luck too all at saintfield on sunday

Hi Jeff,
Miss the cricket and miss the craic but not the weather! Thanks to you guys on the website and emails I've been able to keep in close touch. A lot closer than Man U got to Barca yesterday!
Let's hope the weather improves by August when I'm back.
