Here's a funny one before I head off to work !

When I had the house to myself yesterday morning while the cricket was on, my maniquin plastic dummy friend 'Vic Johns' had been very restless in his case up in our attic these last few days, so I took pity on him and brought him down to watch the Ireland-v-England game.

He sat there beside me on the seatee motionless throughout the game, but when the Irish batsman hit the winning runs, I lit up and danced around the room and sure enough did'nt the blinking 'Dummy' jump up too on it's own and start doing a jig all around the place and just a job I had catching him, before the family got home !!

Just shows you...there's some truth in the old fairy stories and them little Leprecorns!!

Now where's Sachin Tenduklar hiding at ??

good to see ireland beat england as it is hard to listen to the english commentators early during the match giving off about ed joyce etc returning to play for ireland and the associate teams playing bringing the standard of cricket down in the tournament. well good to see kevin thump them all round the ground an i hope he gets a contract in the ipl league as he deserves a crack at it and hopefully now ireland will be given a chance to play on the international arena for what they lack in ability they make up for in spirit and its proves that the pakistan match in the last world cup was no fluke.

I am curious as to what commitee DK serves on?

He claims that changes need to be made in the interests of the majority. If someone suggests what the majority wants, he asks if they have carried out a survey. Have you carried out a survey DK? Before you make any more bogus claims about what people want, maybe you should carry one out.

I'm also in agreement with what someone said earlier, when elected to a commitee, you have been entrusted to make decisions which you believe are in the interests of the organisation. If you disagree with the shanges, put yourself forward for election.

Very tedious reading!

What a knock by Kev! Surely surely surely the ICC must take note of the potential of IRISH cricketers. Our historic victories against all odds speak volumes.

Well done Ireland! The better team won on the day and hopefully this great win will help the profile of cricket in Ireland. Mr O'Brien, one word. Brilliant.

Great win in Bangalore by Team Ireland. I saw somewhere that we were 400/1 to win when 5 wickets were down. Surely Jeff must have had some of that if only for a bit of an interest!

And utd to win at half time, chelsea at full time 40/1.

Steven - it always had the players and NOT the support structure from the top down - see the beauty today of where we are at the WC - awesome V England - now let's all utilise the feel good factor and market the game both internally & externally - the World is sitting up and taking notice - hope all the committees in the Province are fluid with ideas!

Congratulations Cricket Ireland. This has been the greatest day in the history of irish cricket.
What a magnificent performance by everyone on an off the field.
Was it Van Morrison who sang "There'll be days like this?"
Even a little island like Barbados is buzzing with excitement at what has been achieved.
