The launch of the Robinson Services Premier League took place recently at Stormont. Along with representatives from most of the clubs Robinson Services Managing Director, David Robinson, was on hand to get the ball rolling.
The season is just a couple of weeks away and it promises to be a very exciting and tight battle to see who lifts the magnificent trophy later this year.
Defending champions Lisburn are strengthened by the addition of the very successful former captain of CIYMS, Nigel Jones. They begin their campaign with a tricky visit to Shaws Bridge to take on Instonians who themselves include new South African professional Shane Dadswell.
Newly promoted Derriaghy face a tough task against last years runners up CSNI at Stormont. While Ruhan Pretorious faces his old side North Down when they visit Woodvale.
Pat Bootha returns for another stint in Ulster cricket this time at Waringstown who make the trip to The Castle grounds to take on Cliftonville Academy. The final match in the first round of fixtures sees last season's multi cup winning CIYMS at home to Carrickfergus who face life without Jacques Symnan and Jeremy Lawlor for the first time but they will have New Zealand pro Michael Rippon in their ranks.
Hopefully the weather plays its part and we get a dry start to the season!
