A trio of Cregagh cricketers - including a father and son partnership receive Gardiner Brothers NCU awards which go to Premier and Senior League players who score a century, take at least six wickets or perform a hat trick. All three performances came in two games against Ballymena: Adam McCormick (second left) took 6-14, his father David went even better with 8-7 and Aaron Johnston scored 108. David’s performance was the best of any NCU bowler all season and also won him the Cricket World Performance of the Week, a grass roots award open to every club in the UK and Ireland. The NCU awards were presented by Michael Warke of Gardiner Brothers and Peter McMorran, President of the NCU.
