Belated congratulations to the NCU's General Manager, Angela Platt who was awarded the BEM in the New Year's Honours List.
The Ulster Cricketer is delighted that Angela has been rewarded for her contribution to sports development here in Northern Ireland - a very worthy recipient.
Before taking up her role as General Manager with the NCU Angela was CEO of Ulster Hockey for seven years.
She is part of a real sporting family with her well-known uncle Jim being a star for Northern Ireland and Middlesborough and brother David also involved in the local football scene as a player and Manager. Angela herself played both hockey for Ireland and football for Northern Ireland.
Also included in the NewYear's Honours List was ex-Irish international and now England One Day captain Eoin Morgan who was awarded a CBE.
