Vic,
Are you cheering for Ireland in the T20 or World Cup. Opps I forgot neither Irish team is there oh well
Are none of the terrestial challenges showing highlights of the T20?
Are you sure about that Ryan? They've completed alot off work on it off season and had expert help,so can't see why it should'nt be a 'good one' !
Even so Clarence, they still won't win anything anyhows(England),looking forward too the tournament whatever!
Good-luck Ireland !
Re: Vic
Nothing 'belting' about Lurgan's pitch in it's current state!!
Hey Vic,
You have to agree England should win everything in football, cricket, rugby etc as they have all the money, the most players (including their pick of certain countries, the best facilties et al. However, we all know they don't win everything!)
En route to the unknown...Guyana. Will keep all our readers posted.
Come on Ireland!
Clarence
Dear,dear Jim;
I've already done that one Jimmy boy, stick to the gags about England winning something ! There much funnier !!!
deepest sympathy from everyone at north down cricket club to good friend Trevor Mckeown, mother Marina and the extended family on the recent loss of Dessie, Trevor's dad, simply a lovely gentleman.
Explanation of Cricket
You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man that's in goes out and when he's out, he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out.
When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side that's been in goes out and tries to get those coming in out.
When both sides have been in and out, including the not outs - that's the end of the game.
Simple, isn’t it?
Good one Jim,
I usually do the 'funnies' on here, but I suppose there's room for another one or two commedians as well, it is an open forum after-all !
Anymore jokes for us ?
England win the T20? Hopefully they will and make it a double with the World Cup in Jo'burg
"Perish the thought" !
Very encouraging to see cricket grounds around the country improving, I got a look at Lurgan's place the other week and it looks as if it's going to be a real'belter' to play on !
And great too, that the N.C.U. are pushing the local councils to improve their cricket grounds and possibly provide us with somemore for cricket to be played on. Keep up the good-work men!
Before I go, all the best to the Ireland cricket team for the up and coming T/20 world-cup. Starts this Friday and here's hoping we can take a few 'big-guns' down on our way!
(England especially....Stuart Broad has already been on saying, that England should win the trophy)!!!!!!!!
Just want to congratulate my good mate John Torrans on his completion of The London Marathon yesterday. By completing the 26 miles he not only achieved a personal ambition but also has raised over £8,000 for a very deserving cause - Epilepsy Action. I'm sure I speak for everyone around Derriaghy in saying ' well done Jake'.
It's still not to late to donate to the charity and you can do so by logging on to justgiving.com/john-torrans
Gregory,
I would'nt worry to much about the weather...this season anyway.
When it was 'snowing' at the beginning of April, many were panicing, even commenting here on the forum as to the chaotic weather and what would become of us all!!
But Vic kept a calm head and a 'steely' nerve, reassuring the concerned people that maybe this was a 'good' thing and better to get it out of the way then as opposed to later in the month!
And once again I called it correctly, with a fine start to the season.... weather wise anyway!!
And as I've already mentioned a few times already. We're due a good dry summer with plenty of sunshine,no doubt about it!....... or I know nothing about cricket and my name ain't 'Vic Johns'!
And "would you believe it"...what about Steve Davis at 52 yrs of age, knocking out the current world snooker champ John Higgins and he's now into the quarter final, it just shows you what you can achieve if you look after yourself and that 'fire' still burns away inside, even if there's a bit of 'snow' up on 'top'!!!
( Park-ranger, get ur'self down to batting practice this evening and quit 'crowing' from the sidelines! Maybe you might even get a game!!)
