Sam & Peter - As a certain former Man Utd manager would say "the weague's not over wet"!!
Always gutting to see the Muckamore family losing again. Such a nice bunch of guys too
Andy
I see the high spending 1st XI of Muckamore are struggling to live up to all the pre season hype.
not having a "pop" - just fact stating facts. There have been many postings re CIYMS "investment" over the past few seasons and their 2nds WERE 0 for 5 at one stage yesterday. As for my "umpiring" - always done to the best of my limited ability but to my personal high standards of honesty - like so many players! But to have a real "pop" - NCU cricket continues to decline in playing standards, numbers of players and pitches. And don't get me started on teas!! And I'm usually calm on a Sunday.
I'm surprised that an umpire from Muckamore is having a pop at a club's 2nd XI.
Andy...as always, your posts are nearly as good as your umpiring...
The 2nd XI of high-spending CIYMS at one stage yesterday reduced to 0-5 against their Muckamore counterparts! And a brilliant 6-38 for young Callum Weir! Now what might have happened if you had gone to a more "fashionable" post-primary school buddy?!
Just want to let clubs know of my availability to score if interested. Fully qualified international scorer with 20 years experience at senior level and 18 years at representative level. If interested contact me at my email address.
Any reason why Armagh got a walkover against Larne today?
Totally agree with Bryan Milford. I don't think discussions on a forum, on the merits of specific schoolboy cricketers is helpful to anyone. Congratulations to all of the boys who have been selected on the various representative teams. Enjoy the experience as it will be one of the highlights of your cricketing careers, with some great memories.
Matchett 80 seems to end the argument Louis.
I see that Ulster Schools lost heavily to the southern school....perhaps "old Ulster schools player" has a point after all. Sack the selectors and bring this person on.....if we knew who they were........ Cmon old Ulster schools player, reveal yourself!!!!!
Great to see John Matchett score 80 today, albeit in a losing cause, for the U19 Ulster Schools against Southern Schools, proving Louis from Instonians completely wrong!
Does anyone consider it poor taste for anonymous posters to criticise school pupils?
have seen both young men this season v MCC and in my humble opinion I think that you Matchie has the temperament for captaincy.
